Pet Archetypes are official categories given to groups of pets that work well together in a build.

| Buff Pets | Pets that can permanently increase the stats of friends. | |
| Summon Pets | Pets that summon pets or give benefits to summoned friends. | |
| Hurt Pets | Pets that activate abilities when Hurt or have abilities that hurt friends. | |
| Food Pets | Pets that have abilities that are in relation to Food. | |
| Cycle Pets | Pets that activate abilities on buy, sell, when a friend is sold/bought or benefit from having empty space. | |
| Toy Pets | Pets that summon Toys or activate abilities in relation to them. | |
| Perk Pets | Pets that have abilities that are in relation to Food Perks. | |
| Strawberry Pets | Pets that that give or have abilities that only work when a friend has the | |
| Gold Pets | Pets that create extra | |
| Trumpet Pets | Pets that generate | |
| Faint Pets | Pets that activate abilities on faint or have abilities that give benefits off of those who do. | |
| Guard Pets | Pets that jump in front of friends or benefit from friends ahead. | |
| Ailment Pets | Pets that inflict Ailments onto enemies, target enemies with Ailments, or remove Ailments from friendly pets. | |

| Roll Pets | Pets that generate rolls or trigger their abilities based on rolls. | |
| Mana Pets | Pets that generate mana or use | |
| Disruption pets | Pets that disrupt the enemy through various ways, could be transforming the enemies, removing their perks or targeted snipes. | |
| Transform pets | Pets that transform itself or other pets and pets that support it. | |
| Archetypeless pets | Pets that don't have an archetype, these pets are either easily placed on any team or have very specific uses. |
