The Surgeon Fish is a Tier 3 Pet available in the Golden Pack. Before it attacks, it spends 2 trumpets to give the nearest friend behind a buff to its health. Levelling up the Surgeon Fish increases the amount of health given.

Strategy

Surgeon Fish can be very powerful in the early to mid game to keep oneself alive. While it can trigger multiple times with enough trumpets, even just one trigger can prove to be very helpful. Similarly to the Pangolin, Surgeon Fish helps to balance out pets with high Attack and low Health (but only in battle). It can synergise with many pets like Guineafowl or Falcon , giving them more ability triggers with more attacks.

The main drawback is obviously the trumpet generation, which often means at least one pet will have to be in front of the Surgeon Fish. This will often be a Level 2 Groundhog, a Black Necked Stilt or any pet with Cherry.

Surgeon Fish can continue to combo with trumpet generators later on like Saiga Antelope or Highland Cow which can provide better positioning. Unfortunately, it will soon fall off against faster, more permanent scaling that also provides Attack from higher tier pets such as Bird of Paradise or Monkey.
