Knock Out pets activate their ability upon knocking out an enemy pet, even if they faint in the process. 
Chili, 
Skewer, and 
Tomato can activate Knock Out ability if it knocks the target out but other pets like Sniper Pets knocking out an opponent in front of a knock out pet won't activate knock out abilities. Knock Out pets typically need to be scaled to get as much potential use out of their ability and food like 
Melon and 
Pepper can help ensure the pet knocks out at least one pet while 
Garlic and 
Lemon work well against wider scaled teams.
